Blue-NG will be exhibiting their plans to build a biomass power station, which could provide electricity for up to 85,000 homes at Blackrod Library, 15 July 2010. 9am to 7pm

Response to Twenty Complaints

A response has been received with respect to the twenty complaints submitted to Bolton Council by four local action groups.

The response appears to acknowledge that our legal arguments have so far been correct.

There remains some disagreement regarding the two applications which will be heard by Horwich Council 24 June 2010

Questions and Complaints to the Council and the Local Government Ombudsman

It is six months since the four local action groups produced a legal letter and asked several questions to the Council regarding planning applications , planning permissions and activities at Pilkington Quarry.

What happens now ?

There are three active planning applications for Pilkington Quarry – all which contain factually incorrect information, misleading statements else have not been correctly verified.

There are twenty complaints outstanding since the 26 March 2010

Over a third of the complaints go back to November 2009.

Pilkinton Quarry -Three Active Applications !!!!!!!!

A response is expected from Bolton Council regarding our 20 complaints this week.

A third active application has now been made. To extend the quarry and for aggregate recycling – 84065/10

There are three active planning applications regarding the quarry. Our responses to the consultation will be posted in the next few days

Pilkington Quarry – new application 83999/10

There is a new application – to amend the end date of permission 50252/97 until 2042. A link is provided on the right hand side of this page.

At this time there is no supporting argument with the application

Bolton Council Due to Respond to 20 Complaints April 2010

Bolton Council have advised that they will respond to the twenty complaints submitted by four local action goups by the end of April 2010.
